"MESS WITH JESS" AUDIENCE PHOTO DESIGN CHALLENGE

Do you like to play pranks and practical jokes? HP found a great way for designers to show us their best pranks at our San Francisco and Los Angeles tournaments. HP will host an offstage photo editing & design contest called Mess With Jess where you can win a sweet HP 27” monitor ($729 value).

HERE'S WHAT YOU DO...

The Challenge: Your goal is capture and edit a photo of a simple scene where your prank is being played on Jess. Who’s Jess? He’s a dude who’s been playing pranks on you and it’s time you got even. First, you and your friends get to pose “Jess” in HP’s photobooth with the prank you want to play on him. We’ll have some props you can use and after we snap the pic, you’ll get 10 minutes with one of the sweet HP® Elitebook Laptops to fill in the rest of the image with illustrations using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. We'll bring the props, you bring the pranks.

Your Goal: Draw, edit and use props to make “Jess” look ridiculous and show all the glory of your prank. All images will be shared on Cut&Paste's Facebook page, so get creative and Mess With Jess!

Rules: After taking your photo, you'll have 10 minutes to sketch & alter your image. You may enter multiple times, but each entry is allotted only 10 minutes of post-photo editing.

Judging & Prizes: The top 2 images will be narrowed down by Cut&Paste and displayed onstage at the end of the 2D Competition. The audience will determine the winning image and the winner of a sick HP prize announced at each city event.

Tools: Each participant will be equipped with the HP® EliteBook Mobile Workstations and Adobe® Creative Suite 5 after the booth photo is taken.
