"DESIGN FOR CLEAN WATER" AUDIENCE DESIGN CHALLENGE
In the spirit of play, we've hosted design challenges for our audience to try offstage since we took our show on the road in 2006. This year, we have a special contest in collaboration with charity: water and Adobe to drive awareness for an important problem: access to clean water for all. Your challence is to create a graphic that represents an activity you would do to raise money for clean water. The goal is to provide new ideas for charity: water fans for fundraising and to contribute new concepts for charity: water to spread the word. In the spirit of Cut&Paste, you must create your graphic at any Cut&Paste Digital Design Tournament during the 2011-2012 Tour in a single 15-minute round.
Right now, one billion people on the planet don’t have access to safe, clean drinking water. That’s one in eight of us. On mycharity: water you can run, bike, give up birthday presents or just raise money to fund water projects for communities in need, and 100% of all donations directly funds water projects. In addition, every dollar donation is linked to a water project and proved with photos and GPS. Now, charity: water seeks the help of the Cut&Paste design community for fresh ideas.
• You have 15 minutes to sketch your graphic at Cut&Paste
• You may enter multiple times, but each entry is allotted only 15 minutes
• You may use any colors you like. You are not limited to a single color as in the current mycharity:water campaign
Judging & Prizes:
After Cut&Paste’s final tour event, all submissions from all tour events will be evaluated by charity:water and one single winner will be selected. The winner will receive the opportunity to work with charity:water on a campaign to promote clean water, which will be recognized by charity:water, Adobe, and Cut&Paste.
At each tour event, Adobe is providing Apple iPad 2 tablets with the Adobe Ideas app. Adobe Ideas is your digital sketchbook, letting you capture and explore ideas anywhere you go. The app allows for multiple layers and provides a quick approach for iPad-based vector drawing. Cut&Paste will also provide Wacom Bamboo styluses for easy drawing.
